Jacksonville, NC - From the beginning of her nomination as Vice Presidential running mate to John McCain, Sarah Palin has been the veritable punching bag of every media outlet in the United States and abroad. However, things took a surprising turn after a seemingly successful end to a Republican rally in Jacksonville Florida.
Amy Hansford, a reporter from the Jacksonville Bugle, had approached Sarah Palin after the rally. Hoping to get a quick interview, she skillfully whisped past her security team and asked Mrs. Palin some questions. Amy noticed right away that something wasn't right. "I asked her opinion on American dependence on foreign oil," said Amy, "and all of a sudden it hit me like a brick: her fragrance was pleasant!"
Amy, like many media moguls, had the impression that Sarah Palin literally wreaked of dead moose, light sweet crude, and the stench of congressional earmarks. "It was an eye-opening experience for me. I wasn't sure what to make of it. All at once, my erroneous image of her, and my respect for my colleagues in the media were shattered. I haven't been back to work in 2 days, it's simply too traumatic."
It's not certain if this revelation about Palin will flow over into larger media circles. But, it could mark the beginning of a fresh new outlook on the Vice Presidential Candidate.
