Prayer of the Week

Prayer for Advent: Week One

Prayer for Advent: Week One

Lord, why does Advent have to come so late?  Seriously, I think your Church needs to get with the times.  I've seen at least 4 stores selling Christmas goods in October.  If their anticipation for our Lord's arrival is so great that they feel the need to start preparing almost 2 months prior to Advent, can't we at least meet them half way?  My friends say that these businesses have alterior motives, but I don't think so.
